Following the information LCC have provided regarding BT working on upcoming Sundays, the below is the current proposed timetable for the Dyneley Arms junction:
- BT Openreach working provisionally Mon-Fri (12th June to 7th July) during the day on jointing works and cable changeovers, and on 4 Sundays (11th June – 2nd July) to undertake the required outages to switch over cables. Sunday the 9th has also been reserved as a contingency.
- From Monday 10th July daytime, Colas will start to complete the civils elements that require BT completion first. If BT complete on the 2nd July, these works will be brought forward to the w/c Monday 3rd July.
- From Monday 10th July nighttime, Colas will start to undertake the surfacing works and lining. This has been programmed for 6 nights (Mon 10th – Fri 14th + Mon 17th July).
- From Monday 17th July UTC/Telent will be undertaking the loop cutting and commissioning the signals.
The aim is to have the completed junction up and running prior to the closure of Harewood Bridge on 26th July, when the A658 will become part of a diversion route around the closure.
This is all subject to BT completing their works on programme, as we cannot complete our surfacing works without the abandonment and removal of their existing cabinet/chamber in the new uphill left-hand turning approach lane on the A658.
Additional signs have been placed out notifying road users of the Sunday working and the Council will have a site presence on these Sundays in order to oversee the traffic management arrangements.
Signs notifying the overnight surfacing work will also be placed out in advance, and there will be a communications through Connecting Leeds. There will be closures on both arms of the A658 whilst the overnight surfacing is ongoing and diversion routes will be in operation.
