Are you ready to Foil in Love with Recycling?!

Last year Leeds residents recycled 128 tonnes of aluminium foil, which would save enough power to light up all the homes in Leeds for over 3 days!

Sadly, 10 times that amount of foil – 1,292 tonnes to be precise – was put into black rubbish bins in Leeds last year. If this had been recycled, it would have saved enough power to light up all the homes in Leeds for over a month!

We love aluminium foil! From kitchen foil to pie cases, take-away containers to roast meat trays. All these can be recycled endlessly… infinitely… forever…! Just rinse off any chunky bits of food first and pop it into your green bin!
