Black Hill Rd Closure

Black Hill Rd in Arthington is closing on 4th September morning for approximately five weeks to allow extensive drainage improvements along the carriageway. Contractors will be installing new gully pots and connecting them to the existing highway drain in the grass verge. This should help reduce the amount of surface water flowing down the highway at this location.

Once the drainage works have completed, the road will also be resurfaced.

As Black Hill Rd is very narrow, the road will be closed 24/7 until the works are completed. There is a signed diversion along Arthington Lane, Pool Bank New Rd, Leeds Rd, Kings Rd and Arthington Rd. Directly affected residents should have received a letter.
