West Yorkshire Police – Walk and Talk Initiative

Our local Neighbourhood Police Team have sent the following communication to share with our residents.  Please use the links below to find out more.

You may already be aware of the walk and talk initiative, whereby we have been inviting females from the local community to go for a walk with a member of the policing team and to have a discussion around anything in their area that is making them feel unsafe. We will then look at this with our partners to resolve it.

I would like us to speak with as many people as possible and will be re-launching this initiative from my end.

The pilot will be taking place in the following areas of Leeds: PudseyFarsleyHyde ParkHeadingley and Woodhouse.

It is open to women aged 18 and above, living or working in these areas, who wish to share their worries or concerns regarding their safety in the local area.

I plan to make myself available to go on the walks whenever I can (If I am applicable) as the applicant can specify which gender of officer they would like to walk with.

Some of my team will be tasked to place some leaflets and posters relating to this in some key locations
