Remembrance Day Events 2024 – Bramhope

There will be two Remembrance events taking place in the Village.

The Remembrance Sunday Parade and services will take place on Sunday 10th November. There will be a service of Remembrance taking place at St Giles Church at 9.30am. The participants in the parade will gather at the Village Hall from 10.30am and the parade will commence at 10.45am. The Parade route is along Old Lane, crossing at The Cross, continuing along Eastgate to the Memorial Garden opposite the Methodist Church. The Act of Remembrance at the Memorial Garden will commence at 11.00am. A Remembrance service will take place in the Methodist Church afterwards, commencing at approximately 11.30am.

Reverends Roger Smith (Bramhope Methodist Church) and Matt Broughton (St Giles Church, Bramhope), will lead the Act of Remembrance at the Memorial Garden, with members of the British Legion and the Scouts, Cubs, Guides and Brownies taking part in the laying wreaths and of the crosses of the fallen on the memorial during the service.

Road closures will be in place from Old Lane to Eastgate between 10.45am and 11.15am.

Members of the public are welcome to attend.

There will also be a short Remembrance Service on Monday 11th November at 11.00 at the Memorial Garden, Eastgate, Bramhope, LS16 9AA led by Reverend Roger Smith, Bramhope Methodist Church.

Members of the public are welcome to attend but there are no road closures on Monday 11th please take care when crossing to the Memorial Garden, Eastgate.
