Further to the further notice sent this morning (18/03/26) regarding a burst water main on Leeds Road and the two way traffic lights, there has been a further burst on the opposite side of Leeds Road which has severely damaged the road structure, and for safety to road users, Yorkshire Water will now be imminently fully closing the Road
Yorkshire Water will be working overnight to repair the bursts,
Following the initial overnight repair work, and an assessment of the road condition tomorrow, a further update on what to expect next will be sent by Leeds CC.
The expected signed diversion for the closure of the A660 Leeds Road, near Golden Acre Park, will be via the A658 Pool Bank New Road. A659 Arthington Lane, A61 Harrogate Road and A6120 Ring Road in both directions. This will impact on traffic at the A660/A6120 Lawnswood Roundabout.
