Update – 30th September 2026
Leeds City Council have announced the dates of the next stage of public consultation on the Leeds Local Plan 2022 to 2042.
The next stage will open on 30th November 2026 and will close on 15th February 2027. The Parish Council will notify residents of any additional information as it becomes available via the website and newsletter.
The current timetable for the Local Plan is as follows:
Publish notice of intention to commence plan making -18 June 2026
Scoping consultation start / end – 24 June to 5 August 2026
Gateway 1 – 18 October 2026
Plan content and evidence start / end – 30 November 2026 to 15 February 2027
Gateway 2 advice sought – 1 July 2027
Gateway 2 advice published – 12 August 2027
Proposed plan consultation start / end -1 October – 10 December 2027
Gateway 3 advice sought – 1 June 2028
Gateway 3 advice published – 13 July 2028
Plan submitted for examination – 1 August 2028
Examination recommendations published – 1 February 2029
Plan adopted – 1 March 2029
