The Yorkshire Water sewer works on Pool Bank New Road were postponed earlier in the month due to the unexpected closure of Kex Gill in North Yorkshire. The signed diversion comes through the Leeds district and, in particular, along Pool Bank New Road
LCC have been monitoring traffic flows since the closure was put into place and while there is increased traffic during the morning and evening peaks, the flows during the day have remained fairly stable
the Yorkshire Water sewer works will begin on Monday 10th February
Traffic lights will be in place at various locations along Pool Bank ( only one set of lights at a time) so that the works can be carried out safely.
For the first phase of the works the lights will remain in place, full time, for approximately 2 weeks and will be manually controlled between the hours of 7am-7pm
The second phase will also require traffic lights but it is likely that these will be able to be removed at the end of each shift/each day. This phase will last approximately 3-4 weeks. These lights will also manually operated when in place
