Sara Cox – Children in Need Challenge -Bramhope – Friday 14th November

Sara Cox, Radio 2 DJ, is currently undertaking a gruelling challenge raising funds for BBC’s Children in Need, running 135 miles in 5 days from Kielder Forest in Northumberland to Pudsey in Leeds.  The challenge is the equivalent of running 5 marathon distances in 5 days.

Sara will be coming through Bramhope on Friday 14th November as she comes to the end of her final leg which ends in Pudsey on Friday, when the Children in Need appeal will be broadcast.

Coming up from Pool via Old Pool Bank and turning left, her route through Bramhope will take her along the A660 to the Dynley Arms Junction, continue along Leeds Road and turning right at St Giles Church and heading up Church Hill. She will continue past the Fox and Hounds, and leave the village via Moor Road, heading towards Cookridge.

The live tracker for her progress towards Bramhope on Friday can be found on Sara’s Great Northern Marathon Challenge Tracker – BBC Children in Need for any residents who would like to go out and support Sara as she passes through our village.
