Brown Bin Collections 2025

Leeds City Council’s garden waste (brown bin) collection service for 2025 will start week commencing 24th March.

Garden waste collections will re-start from Monday 24th March for those residents that receive a brown bin collection. Residents can find their future collection dates at www.leeds.gov.uk/mybinday or get helpful reminders straight to their phone by downloading the popular Leeds Bins app.

As a reminder there is no extra charge for households that receive this additional service in Leeds, and the service is not designed to be one that deals with all garden waste produced by all sizes of gardens. It is there to assist households in managing their garden waste and to reduce the amount of garden waste that was historically going in the black bin. Households might also want to take advantage of discounted composters for using in their gardens; Leeds’ residents can check the deals at www.getcomposting.com

Additionally, any excess garden waste can be taken for free to any of the Council’s 8 Household Waste and Recycling Centres, all of which are open all year round, 7 days a week.
